Common water contaminants in Central Minnesota & South Metro Area
A new study by the Environmental Working Group reports that MN drinking water contains hexavalent chromium, a toxic metal that has been linked to cancer. While the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency does not require the testing for the metal, the survey found that levels in MN water in some areas were pushing the levels proposed as a safety limit by authorities. This contaminant has been proven to cause cancer. You can search your zip code to see the amount in your municipal water supply here: https://www.ewg.org/interactive-maps/2016-chromium6-lower-48.php#.WXYljtPyu-l
Dirt & Sediment
Water all over the country has frequently been positive for lead, cysts, and PFOA/PFOS, and our area is not exempt. These chemicals have been found to exceed the levels set forth by health advisory organizations and may cause health problems.
Eighteen million Americans live in communities where the water systems are in violation of the law. As a mater of fact, the federal agency in charge of making sure those systems are safe not only know these issues exist, they’ve done little to stop them, according to information provided by CNN, which cites multiple sources and water experts. Check out the EWG’s PFAS contamination map, to see if it is has been found in your area.
Our goal is not to scare anyone into getting water treatment, however, educating our local community about water quality is a top priority. We’ve worked with many local families to improve their water and to provide peace-of-mind, knowing the water they drink and bathe in is free of harmful contaminants.

Had a new softener and osmosis system installed yesterday and am writing to congratulate you on great workers. Nick and Andy were courteous, well-informed, and professional. I am very satisfied and you may use me for a recommendation anytime. Colby was very helpful in deciding what the right equipment was for us. Thanks for the terrific service.

You may recall you were at my house a couple of weeks ago because I was having problems with my eco water water softener. You checked a few things and we discussed costs for a new softener vs maybe having a little more life in our existing one. As it were, the old one has been performing well. I think cleaning it up a bit gave it new life. I know you are in the business of selling softeners, but I do appreciate your taking the time to walk me through the operation of our existing. It is a level of integrity that is sadly lacking too often these days, and when exhibited, is not recognized often enough. So thank you, and rest assured when the old softener gives up the ghost, you will be the first person I call. Thanks again.
Paula called back quickly and was accommodating to my schedule and set the appt right away. Your tech, Chris, just left here a few hours ago. It was in fact frozen and he showed me where. I understand the issue now and will address it properly going forward. Just wanted to send a thank you to you and your team, great service!
Nick did a great job installing my water softener system. The knowledge he shared showed his experience and expertise. I also caught a few decisions he explained to his counterpart that made me feel very assured he had my best interests in mind.
My 75 gallon water heater went kaput and I reached out to Tri-County Water to replace (I found their services through Costco). They were able to do the job within 2 days. The Team (Nick and Andy) arrived early for the appointment to replace and did a fabulous job. They were done within an hour and half and it works great. They cleaned up after themselves and hauled my old water heater away. I would definitely use their services again!
