Here’s How Reverse Osmosis Works:
- Household water is directed through a pre-filter for filtration to remove sediment, chlorine taste and odor, and particulate matter.
- The water is then forced, by pressure, through a semi-permeable membrane where a high percentage of the dissolved solids and other contaminants are rejected and flushed to the drain.
- A final polishing of the water is accomplished by an activated carbon absorption block filter removing tastes and odors. The water passes through this final filtering process immediately before going to the faucet whether it comes direct from the unit or from the storage tank.
- The automatic shut-off control shuts down the system when the storage tank is filled and water is not being drawn. This “demand production” feature conserves water by eliminating the constant running to the drain found in some units. The control also depressurizes the membrane when not in service extending the membrane life and reducing the need for maintenance of your reverse osmosis water purifier.

Does EcoWater offer a solution to “remineralize” the drinking water after it’s purified?

I rented a water softener and filtration system from Tri County for years. They were always responsive and proactive to make sure the systems were working well. Their service people are thorough and honest. Never charged me for things I didn’t need and advising me as to how to do stuff myself so I could avoid unnecessary service calls. When I inquired to buy out my rental agreements, they quoted me a fair price and sent out a service person to ensure the units were in good working order before finalizing the transaction. Great experience all the way through. I’m certainly going to trust them to keep the units I bought working for years into the future.

Wow. My only regret is that I didn’t put this softening system in sooner! We live in rural Minnesota with hard water and a ton of calcium build up…… once we got our softener (plus a reverse osmosis system) we have had the softest water, no build up or residue on our dishes, even our hair is extra soft now! It’s the best investment. The company was incredibly nice and easy to work with. Melissa is AMAZING!!

Our water softener experience with Tri County Water Conditioning was great! My husband and I moved into a new construction home and started seeing hard water spots on dishes and showers. Colby did an excellent job going through the options of water softeners and answering all of our questions. Once we decided on one based on his recommendations, we had it installed by Nick. Again, he took the time to show me how it worked, explained the type of salt to use and made sure everything was working properly. Our water is SO much better now! The drinking water tastes so clean and we no longer have hard water spots. Colby even came back 2 weeks after it was installed to check the hardness and everything was working as it should. We had a water heater, water softener and a reverse osmosis system installed in our home by Tri County Water Conditioning. The installers arrived promptly, were professional and friendly. The installers were very knowledgeable, they walked us thru all the controls of the three systems. A Tri County Water Conditioning representative came out to our home after the installation to retest the water and to make sure we did not have any other questions. They provide fantastic service; I would totally recommend Tri County Water Conditioning!!

These guys were great from start to finish. Colby came to our house and tested our water prior to making any product selections. He explained everything that he was doing and what we were looking for. The installation of our products were quick and painless. After installation; Colby came back (optional) and re-tested our system. I would definitely recommend this company to any friends or family.

We purchased an Ecowater Refiner (softener + chlorine filter) and Reverse Osmosis through Tri-County Water. Tri-County Water also did the install. We were impressed with the quality of the install. The plumbers were friendly, put down carpet protection, and wore shoe covers to keep our home clean. The seller we worked with was friendly, patient, and answered all our questions. I'm renting a house from renters warehouse and is a very disrespectful company that hired this water company to come out to the house at 7am and didn't tell me nor am I awake at this time... this company showed up for a no show and when I found out they were trying to service the home they were so respectful, communicated with me on what happened, and even called me back to make sure the new time was aware to me and worked with my schedule which is amazing to me in my situation. I first used them in 2000 to install a water softener in my new home and they did an amazing job...on time, fast and left my house as clean as when they arrived. We just had our water softener installed last Friday for our new build house. Our water hardness went from 15 to 0 or 1. Chlorine is at a non-detectable level now. My skin has been feeling less dry and you don’t see as much white residues in the sinks as much as before, I am very happy! The entire process from consultation to installation and follow up, it’s been a pleasure to work with the staff members. They have been very respectful and helpful. Melissa is our consultant, she is very sweet and helpful. During the installation, I did notice our entry wall was scratched by their red plastic cover, which left permanent red markings on our wall. The markings did make me a little sad because it is a brand new house but it is such a small thing, we didn’t want to make a fuss so just painted over it later. Overall, the experience has been excellent. We are very happy with our purchase so far!
